I found this tricky because I found a lot of this hard and a little bit of this easy.
Next time I have to think about what the main ideas are to help me summarise. I enjoyed writing and answering the questions in the text.

I found this tricky because a buddy had to help me with some of this.

I was learning the structure of explanation writing. I found tricky to get it into the correct order. I had to read it very carefully to get it in the correct order. I need keep working on sequencing ideas.

I am learning to write a Haiku poem. I found this easy because I counted my syllables  carefully.  I also thought of how many adjectives and nouns I was going to have.  Next time I could keep practising  syllables in other words and do another Haiku Poem.

Combine numbers to make ten

I was learning to solve problems by combining numbers to make the next ten. I found this tricky because they were larger numbers. Next I need to keep practising this strategy.

Reflection I was learning to add up two numbers and put the answer in the middle. I found it tricky to add the 2 digit numbers. Next time I could learn to use place value to add 2 digit numbers.

Reflection I am learning to skim and scan to find the information in the non-fiction text.  I was learning to write my own personal Pepeha.  I found it tricky to skim and scan to find the information in the text.  Next time I have to look for the words more carefully and use the pictures to help me.

Did You Ever Poem

Reflection I was learning to write a poem using simple imagery on a google slide . I found this easy because I understand nouns and verbs.  I got help to do my google slide.  I need to practice my google slide

Cause and Effect.

Reflection I was learning about cause in effect in a story that relates to feelings and friendship. I learnt that what I do has an effect on someone else.I found it was easy to find my own cause and effect in the story. Next time I could share with a buddy to check if I understood.

Welcome to Year 4 learning blog.  This year I am in Room 14 and my teacher is Mrs Prendergast . I enjoyed the story about the Rainbow Fish and being in Room 14.  This year I am looking forward to getting my 100 ticks.  I hope you will enjoy my blog and leave lots of feedback.
